You begin adding a new swap by clicking on Add Swap in the middle of the members homepage or by clicking on My Swapz and then the Add New Swap button.

Then you select the main category that the item you have to swap should be listed in. For example if you have a Nintendo Wii the main category would be PC & Video Gaming.

Next you will need to choose the correct subcategory, which in this example is Nintendo Wii. Once you have selected this then click the Next Step button.

Adding detail to your swap listing is what makes it stand out and let other people know what you have to offer. The clearer the information you add, the more chances of a quick successful swap.  The Title is the headline of your swap – tell people what it is, not what you want. Use the description area to describe to other users the condition, features and anything else about the item you have to swap. The value that you give should be relevant to the type and condition of your article. If you just want to swap and value does not matter, then select the 1 penny option. Make sure that your swap location region, town and postcode are accurate as many members enjoy swapping locally and making new friends. When you have filled in all the details click on the Next Step button.

I Want To Swap For is where you can tell other users the type of things you would like and be most interested in. make sure what you are asking for is of a similar value to the item you have listed. By ticking I am open to all swapz you let other users know you are happy to receive all proposals and will choose to swap for something that catches your attention. We recommend you always tick this option.

Now it’s time to add pictures to your listing. Pictures are vital as they show other users more about your listing than words alone. Listings with pictures are 24 times as likely to lead to a swap than those with just words!

For your first picture, click on the Browse button and browse your PC until you find the image you would like to use. Once you have selected your image click on the red Upload button. You will see a thumbnail of your picture when it is successfully uploaded. If you would like to add more than one image now click on the Additional Image button which will bring up another Browse button for you to use. Each time you select another image from your PC you must click on the Upload button. Images should be under 200kb in size and be in Jpeg format.
